Keeping your skin hydrated this Winter
So we have officially entered the winter months here in Perth. Even though its not Ireland cold here its still pretty cold.
One thing that is always a pain in winter is keeping your skin hydrated and soft. So we have decided to do a small blog on how to keep your skin hydrated and looking healthy even through the harsh winter months.
Firstly, I'm sure you can guess what we are going to say.. "Drink loads of water" you're right! Keeping you body hydrated is a huge factor to keeping your skin hydrated.
Jules hates cold water (especially in winter) she boils the kettle and adds hot water into her water bottle. That way she can stay hydrated and not freeze from the inside out :P
Also, adding a slice of lemon to your water is a great way to freshen up the bland taste of water, and the bonus of lemon is that it's great for the metabolism!
Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. keep your skin fresh and eliminate dead skin cells by exfoliating once a week with a body scrub or a dry scrub. You can read all a
Next recommendation is keep your body moisturized. We swear by Aveeno Body moisturizer, it's is the perfect hydrating body moisutriser and smells amazing!! We use the "Stress Relief" one, it's lavender scented.
Don't forget to invest in a good hand cream to keep those hands soft. Clarins do an amazing hand cream that helps with premature aging too (little added bonus there!)
Lastly, don't neglect your lips! Keep a lip balm in your bag at all times and apply liberally to stop them going dry and splitting. We love 'Nivea pearly shine' because you get both the moisture and protection along with a fab pearly pink shine.
Try some of these remedies out ladies, they're quick and easy to add to your beauty regime and your skin will thank us later ;)
