My Night Time Skin Care Routine
So I thought I would share with you my evening skin care routine and how I look after my skin while I prep for my wedding.
As most of you know, I am a massive Dermalogica fan and have been using Dermalogica for over 3 years now. Since getting engaged in 2014, I knew that I needed to up the anti with my skin care routine because no one wants to have dull skin, especially on their wedding day! So I sought the help and advice of my two favorite skin care professionals, Kate and Emma from Zen - Face, Body & Hair.
Seing as I was already using Dermalogica my skin was in pretty good condition, but I wanted my skin to be more 'glowy' and hydrated and since I am getting married in Winter I knew the sooner I started a great skincare plan the better the results would be. The girls at Zen were able to tailor my skincare plan to meet my exact needs.
Before I go any further, I should mention that this is my skincare routine and I can't say it will work for everyone. You will need to speak with a skincare professional to get the right products for your skin. Also, water and clean eating will benefit any skincare routine.
First up, I always double cleanse my face. I use the pre-cleanse oil first and then I use the special cleansing gel. There is no nicer feeling than cleansing your face after a day in full make up and knowing your face is squeaky clean!!
Next up is toner. I love the Dermalogica Antioxidant Hydramist. It's quick, easy and it smells divine! After three or four sprays all over my face I then leave it soak in before I apply my multivitamin power firm eye cream. I put an thin layer under my eyes and pat it in.
Now the exciting part... I've been using the Overnight Retinol Repair cream cream for the past 12 months and I can't even begin to tell you the difference in my skin. My fine lines are gone and my frown lines are visibly reduced not to mention a much more even skin tone.
Once a week I use the Charcoal Rescue Masque to 'tighten and brighten' my face which always has amazing results and leaves my skin instantly brighter.
Along with my intense skin care routine, I ensure that once a month I go for IonActive Power Treatment facial. I won't go into too much detail as to what that is about, but I will write another blog on it after my next facial.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Love always... a glowing bride to be,
