Jules N' Co. The Wedding Part 1.
As promised (and highly requested) I've decided to do a full wedding blog post. I'm going to divide it up over 3 blog posts. There would be far too much to do in the one blog.
So without further ado Jules N' Co. The Wedding Part 1 is all about finalising everything before the big day.
Most of you know we flew back to Ireland the end of November in preperation for our big day on the 17th December. We flew with Etihad from Perth - Abu Dhabi - Dublin. We got an afternoon flight which was perfect as it mean't we arrived in Dublin early on Tuesday morning.
We hit the ground running with all things wedding, catching up with family and friends, going for dinner and meeting with our suppliers.
Visiting The Castle: I couldn't wait to see it again. Especially since it was our first Christmas home in 6 years. I knew the Castle would be beautifully decorated in all things Christmas and it was. Even writing this I am getting a little bit homesick. We met with Gillian (our wedding coordinator) and ran through some of the finer details on how we wanted the Munster room and the reception to look on the day. Gillian assured us that it was going to be everything we anticipated and more.
Meeting the suppliers: We allocated 2 full days of going to meeting. This was surprisingly easy! We met with the photographers, the cinematographers, make up artist, hair stylist, florists, band and DJ. I will run through a full list of our suppliers in Jules N' Co. The Wedding Part 2. Realistically we are both very laid back people so we knew not to get stressed out about the finer details. We just went with the flow and left it up to the professionals. We gave our suggestions but other than that there wasn't much to it.
Bridesmaid Fittings: I had 5 bridesmaids so its a bit tricky to get all 5 bridesmaids into the one store on a specific day when they live all over the world and all had different fly in dates. Nonetheless, we manged to get the dress fittings done over two day. I had chosen the style of the dresses however as it turns out 2 of the 5 girls wanted a different style so I just went with the flow and it worked out perfectly. Sometimes when you're planning a wedding you just got to run with it.
Hens party: My wonderful sister, Claire, organised pretty much everything for my hen along with my mum. She booked a night away in the AMAZING Marybourough Hotel and Spa in Cork. Complete with cocktail making classes, spa treatments and a table for dinner at the renowned Les Gourmandises. It was just perfect! If you are looking for a laid back hen party or just a weekend break the Marybourough is the place to go.
There you have it ladies. The first part of my 3 part Jules N' Co. The Wedding. I am aiming to have Jules N' Co. The Wedding Part 2 published by next week but bear with me as I am so busy at the minute.
